Recently we have been encouraged to collect the stories of those directly affected by the NDIS announcement of a review into the validity of arts and music therapies.

Stories have the power to connect us and make sense of our world. Expressing our own or witnessing others' stories allows for catharsis and the acknowledgement of being seen and heard, contributing towards a healing process.

This ANZACATA member online event welcomes creative arts therapists to express THEIR story through their unique modality, being witnessed by their community and finding strength in the collective.

You may expect an hour comprising gently guided visualisation and an invitation for creative expression in your modality. A further hour will find opportunity for response, self-reflection and observation within the group.

Available to Practising Members working with NDIS clients (Aust. Only)

PRESENTER:

Romny Vandoros (AThR and ANZACATA approved Supervisor) has worked for 14 years in the disability, autism, compromised health and aged care (dementia) spaces, working with individuals and groups alike. She has also delivered online and in-person corporate events and art therapy wellness retreats internationally. Of particular joy was co-facilitating an adult group living with stroke/aphasia at Macquarie University for 6 years and developing the integrated art therapy studio offerings at the Sydney Memory Innovation Centre for ageing Australians living with memory concerns and dementia. "Finding passion in the process rather than perfection in the product" is her mantra.
