The Journal of Creative Arts Therapies (JoCAT) is the peer-reviewed journal of the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association, funded by ANZACATA and produced in partnership with Western Sydney University. Previously the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art Therapy (ANZJAT), JoCAT has been an online and open-access publication since 2020. In a competitive environment where rejection rates and publication fees can be prohibitive, JoCAT is particularly attractive to new and emerging CAT authors and to an audience who enjoy diverse ways of reading, viewing and listening.
This webinar will offer you an overview and take you behind the scenes. Sheridan will describe the scope and aims of the journal, its positioning in the research landscape and editorial approach. Vic will outline the JoCAT publication process, from making a submission, to the peer review process, to producing the papers, creative contributions, reviews and podcasts on the website.
