ANZACATA is offering subsidised online group supervision sessions with Annette Chauncy. All practising ANZACATA members are welcome to participate. Annette is an experienced supervisor who believes in the importance of CATs finding their place and utilising their gifts to service the community, whether rural or metropolitan. She has worked with a diverse range of people aged between 5 and 95 years in both the community and hospital settings. Annette is experienced in Mental Health, Separated Parents, Family Violence, Palliative Care, Disabilities, Aged Care and Workplace Issues (including the grief employees may experience following organisation mergers/restructures). She uses a client-focused and strengths-based approach, with a focus on trauma and intergenerational trauma.

There will be 10 fortnightly sessions (each session is 90 minutes), with a maximum of 8 participants. The total cost for each participant is $500 (paid upfront).

OBJECTIVES

These sessions will provide a safe and nurturing space to:

  1. Build an online community of creative art therapists.
  2. Support participants in identifying and planning their goals for group supervision, professional development and self care.
  3. Discuss cases and explore topics such as:
    • Finding your place in a changing or challenging work environment - e.g. organisational restructures, being under-resourced, working remotely (such as working with managers who are located in another site or travelling to regional work sites)
    • Boundaries - e.g. managing being time poor, feeling overworked and the pressure to take on more clients
    • Communicating art therapy to other professionals
    • Networking within your local community
    • The importance of self-care and warding off burnout
    • Utilising the image-making process for self-care and self-reflection to expand personal insight.

Cancellation Policy
When you register and pay to attend one of our events, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other members. In order to be respectful of your fellow members and the presenter, please email Michelle as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the event. We keep our events as affordable as possible and need to pay presenters the fee they request. While we understand sometimes urgent matters come up, if registrants cancel at the last minute, we struggle to pay presenters. A full refund will be given if the cancellation occurs more than 24 hours before the event. If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the event, 50% of your registration fee will be refunded only to defray our costs.

IMPORTANT: Due to limited places for events, unpaid invoices will expire within 15 minutes of registering. Please ensure you continue through to the payment screen or pay within 15 minutes to avoid your registration being cancelled. If you have any issue with payment you click the messages popup window in the bottom right corner of the screen, select “Balance due” and “Pay online” on the following screen.
