This is an engaging and interactive session designed to develop literacy, empathy, and understanding of race-related issues and identities, and improve safety and support for people of colour in your organisation, movement or place of work. It is appropriate for a range of knowledge levels and experiences, and creates a safe environment for real conversations about race and racism. We adapt this workshop based on your industry.

About Hue

Hue is a social justice organisation run by two women of colour - Elsa Tuet-Rosenberg and Sonia Sofat. Hue was established in 2020 in response to a desperate need for training that challenged systems of oppression and the underlying issues that detrimentally impact people of colour in Australia. We established the anti-racism and allyship training workshops via Democracy in Colour in 2017 to create meaningful and impactful change, and were overwhelmed by the demand and support we received. We realised that to continue to offer workshops and resources to more organisations, we needed to create a space dedicated to this work. With the support of Democracy in Colour we created Hue! Hue is a platform for people with lived experience to have their voices heard and use their experiences to facilitate and empower people to create social change. Potential Facilitators are Elsa or Dane.

Cancellation Policy
When you register and pay to attend one of our events, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other members. In order to be respectful of your fellow members and the presenter, please email Michelle as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the event. We keep our events as affordable as possible and need to pay presenters the fee they request. While we understand sometimes urgent matters come up, if registrants cancel at the last minute, we struggle to pay presenters. A full refund will be given if the cancellation occurs more than 24 hours before the event. If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the event, 50% of your registration fee will be refunded only to defray our costs.
