We are thrilled to have the Honourable Marama Davidson, Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence and the Associate Minister for Housing in the New Zealand Parliament to launch our report today. Calling all ANZACATA members to come along and be part of the official launch of our report which gathers all large scale research on the usefulness of creative arts therapy into one place.

Personnel Speaking

  • Christine Fitzherbert is the session chair. She is the Board Chairperson of ANZACATA
  • Kate Dempsey, CEO of ANZACATA will introduce the work of ANZACATA in general.
  • Deanne Gray is a member of ANZACATA, undertaking her PhD and she is the author of the report that we are launching. She will speak to the elements of the report itself.
  • The Hon. Marama Davidson will formally launch the report and will link it to the national strategy in NZ.

Bio of the Minister, The Honourable Marama Davidson

The Hon. Marama Davidson is a Member of Parliament in New Zealand. She is the co-leader of the Green Party and before becoming a politician, she worked for the Human Rights Commission for 10 years, and was the Chief Panelist for the Glenn Inquiry into Domestic Violence and Child Abuse. She agreed to launch our research report today because she is passionate about all areas of injustice and is committed to using her voice wherever she can to elevate issues.
