In this workshop we will use the Campbell’s Heroic Journey as a structure for exploring resilience in PhD studies. We will explore the contextual influences that make many feel like imposters in their PhD journey and identify what allies and foes exist internally and externally on the journey. Participation should lead to insights about how our internal worlds contribute to the construction of the very real and treacherous external forces that accompany the journey. We will use a combination of music listening, dances of the imagination, storytelling and art-making to dive deeper into the journey and envisage a return to the ordinary world that feels joy-filled.
This workshop is for Current PhD or Doctoral students ONLY
