This mini-workshop will focus on promoting work-life balance, self-care and wellbeing in the context of highly dynamic and changing clinical environments. It will equip participants with the tools to: 1) better understand the links between workplace stressors and health and wellbeing outcomes, including burnout; 2) recognise and normalise own reactions to stressful situations; and 3) develop practical strategies to foster realistic expectations, practice self-compassion and support own wellbeing in the context of a highly dynamic and changing clinical workplace. The workshop may also be useful for people leaders to better understand the factors within an organisation that can help improve the wellbeing of clinicians and provide them with the opportunity to ensure appropriate supports are in place for teams and individual clinicians to stay resilient, positive, and effective.
