PRESENTER:

Hannah Maher grew up in Regional NSW and moved to Sydney with her girlfriend in 2020. She loves her job as a Pride Trainer as she is constantly learning new things about the LGBTQ community. She also has a keen interest in politics and public policy, particularly social and health policy affecting the LGBTQ community, and particularly the trans/gender diverse community. Currently, she is completing a Master of Public Policy and Governance at UNSW, and completed a Bachelors in Performing Arts and worked as an actor for 8 years. She also volunteers as a policy writer for a minor political party.

Hannah always tries to make her training fun and engaging, while creating a safe space to ask any questions. She loves to get a good conversation going! As a member of the trans community, she understands how difficult it can be to get good information about trans and gender diverse people, and is driven to combat misinformation about the community. She is a self-described video game geek, and often spends her time playing games and streaming online. She also absolutely adore animals, so feel free to share your pets on Zoom!
