The supervision sessions are specifically tailored for recent graduates, with a focus on the needs, challenges and difficulties they may be facing when first entering the workplace. My aim is to support professional development and confidence building. We will focus on establishing a critical reflective practice and maintaining (and expanding) clinical skills to uphold ethical guidelines and professional standards. Particular in a multidisciplinary work environment, where you might be the only creative arts therapist, it is essential that we continually refine and renew our creative arts practice.
In the sessions, supervisees can share clinical, creative, administrative and personal work-related concerns and explore possible solutions. This includes support around aspects of session planning, time management, collating resources to meet client needs, strategies for self-care and working with difficult client responses.
