This workshop will suit those who feel they are in the early stages of their journey of learning and understanding regarding best practice for those from the LGBTIQ+ community.
We will explore context and identity, terminology, reflective self-work, and practical and theoretical considerations for your practice. The workshop aims to be a supportive space in which to be curious and to learn. Participants will be supported to gain a foundational understanding of aspects of consideration for people from the LGBTIQ+ community, and the ability to continue to update their practice and reflective work in a focused and informed way independently beyond the workshop; Participants will be able to draw on practice examples to consider how they can expand their knowledge and service delivery.
Note: this workshop is an introductory space in which to learn and commence an ongoing enquiry. Further work, both independent and facilitated is recommended before advertising as a practice/ practitioner who is experienced in inclusive service delivery, but this workshop aims to support participants to commence this training in a focused and informed way.
