This presentation will focus on vision impairment – what does it mean to be vision impaired. How does this impact on their view of the environment, and the affects this might have during a therapy session. There will be examples of how a vision impaired person might see things, such as a pile of coloured pencils. What colours are good to use, what is not. It might be assumed that those with low vision would only be interested in arts that have sound, tactile sensation such as working with clay or movement/dance activities. Participants will explore what it might be like not to see things clearly and there will be time for discussion and questions.
