ANZACATA commissioned MESHA (Military & Emergency Services Health Australia) and its lead researcher, Dr Henry Bowen to undertake an in-depth review of all 10 university and higher education institutions that ANZACATA currently approves as providing appropriate masters-level courses in creative arts therapies, such that graduates are deemed competent to practice professionally and join ANZACATA. The project was undertaken from June 2024 to June 2025.The purpose of this summary report is to add to the knowledge internationally of how creative arts therapies are taught at universities in the Asia-Pacific region, the strengths and unique pedagogical approaches undertaken in the region and to affirm the strength, maturity, and resilience of creative arts therapy education in the region.
